Reopen Production Order

BUSINESS VALUE / REQUIREMENT

It often happens that there is a need to update production order posting (additional consumption, output or consumption correction), but standard BC functionality does not allow it, when Production Order is in Finished status.

Reopening of production work orders functionality enables changing Finished Production Orders status from Finished to Released so additional posting to Production Order can happen. For Flushing Methods "backwards" and "pick + backwards" for components as well as operations no automatic posting is generated when the Production Order is finished once again.

Adjust-Cost procedure will properly modify Output entries Cost Amount, based on correction posting after Production Order Reopen.

Reopen procedure

  1. Go to Released Production Orders Lists. Create new Released Production Order.

  1. Enter Source No. and Quantity

  1. Refresh Production Order

  1. Register the finished quantity 5.png

  2. Post the consumption quantity and the output quantity

  1. Change status to finished order

  1. Go to Finished Production Orders Lists and open the finished production order

  1. Reopen the finished production order

14.png 15.png 9. Go to Released Production Orders Lists and search for Released production order, which was already Finished before. The boolean field "Reopened" in the Production Order Header displays that this Production Order has been reopened.

Open Released Production Card and check that "Flushing Method" in all Routing lines was changed to Manual.

  1. Repeat steps 4. and 5. to register additional Consumption or Output quantities.

  2. Finish Production Order again (Step 5 - Change status to Finished order).
