The main influence on the release of production orders is the availability of materials. To check these, the report "Production Order Shorting List" can be used. To improve this, a page has been designed that provides a quick overview of the planned and firm planned production orders.
On this page, the production orders, production order lines and production order components are displayed in a structure and the respective material availability is calculated. A color mark indicates whether the materials are available individually or all of them for the production order.
No Setup is needed.
Open Page "Prod. Order Release Status for Firm Planned Prod. Orders".
Or via the “BE-Manufacturing” role center under Tasks:
Page opens.
In the top area you can set filters: - Status (planned, firm planned) - Item - Starting Date - Location - Line Style (Warnings)
In the Lines the following structure is displayed - Fertigungsauftragskopf - FA-Zeile - FA-Komponten
For each component, it is also displayed which required quantities are required and the available stock. If the available stock is < total requirement, the line is marked in red, otherwise green.
If at least one component is marked RED (i.e. not available), the superordinate FA line is also marked in red and so is the production order header. In this way, an overview of the quantities can be quickly displayed and released.
For further processing and, if necessary, checking, the following actions can be called up in the menu: - Change Status --> Release Production Order - Update Lines (calculate Lines and available Quanities) - Open Production Order Card - Export Excel
A status change can also be performed for Production Orders marked as RED. This is merely an indication, but not an interruption. If necessary, the missing items are in abundance or will be needed later.
If there are a large number of planned and firm planned production orders in Business Central, it takes a long time to set up the “Prod. Order Release for Furm Planned Prod. Orders” page. The “Production order control setup” page is available for this purpose
