| Family Production Planning | This Functionality supports you daily business with the usage of Families within the carry out action message at the planning worksheet. The Families allows you to produce more than one product (item) or different Quantities with one Production Order but with the same Routing. You can create Production orders manually for Families. With BE-Manufacturing you can create them from the planning worksheet additional. |
| Production Planning Job Queue | For the requirement planning you will use the Planning Worksheets. With this you can select sepcifict items and calculate their needed quantities. But you have to start this calculation manually. If you have a lot of items (>100.000) it may be took a longer time to calculate or you have different responsible persons to plan specific parts of your items. With this Functionality you can Setup of Job Queue for Production Planning (MRP, MPS) with error log and parametrization (per Item, Location …) per User/Journal to run this every night. |
| Order planning transfers unit of measure | By Creating the Production Order from Sales Order the Base Unit of Measurement is used, but with this function you can use the Unit of Measurement from the Sales Line to create the Production Order. Now it is possible to handle Unit of Measurements from Sales to Production (with the following example we sell 10 PAKET (Qty. per UoM = 5) in Total 50 Pieces. The Standard would create one Production Order with 50 Pieces, our Functions allows you to create 10 PAKET (= 50 Pieces). |
| Personell and Tools Planning and Posting | Production of each product is described with its Production Bill of Material and production steps named Production Routing. Routing describes sequence (serial, parallel or combination of both) of required steps named Operations. Each Operation is performed by/in its primary capacity. Standard BC supports description of primary capacities with Machine Centers and Work Centers. There are often operations where also alternative capacities are required to perform operation. Personnel and Tools are those alternative capacities in most cases. Sometimes Tools or Personnel capacities availability is production bottleneck (production capacity constraint), so it must be carefully planned. Standard BC functionality offers a possibility to add rough description of required Personnel, Tools and Quality Measures for each Operation, but there is no accurate parameters available to describe those requirements in a way appropriate for production planning. |
