Check Routing Link Code on Release Routing

REQUIREMENT / BUSINESS VALUE

The Routing Link Code is used to connect BOM components and operations. If output gets posted, the components with "Flushing Method" = Back are posted according to the output Quantity. If two or more operations are having assigned the same Routing Link Code, than the consumption will be posted multiple.

Solution

With function "Check Routing Link Codes on Certify Routing" the Routing Link Codes in the Operation Lines are getting checked if they are only used once per Routing when the status of the routing gets changed to "Certified". If Routing Link Codes are getting used more than once, a warning message with the Routing Link Codes which are used more than once will be displayed.

Setup

Go to Manufacturing Setup and set the "Check Routing Link Codes on Certify Routing" option to active. Manufacturing

Check the functionality

Go to routings and create a new routing Routings

Fill the routing header with a description and the status new and create two entries in the routing lines with the same Routing Link Code

Routing

Now set the Status in the routing header to Certified. As expected the warning message "The Routing Link Code "100" is used more than once appears: Warning_Message
