If output postings are made for items or scrap and automatic component consumption is to be posted by routing link and posting method = back, sufficient stock of the component must be available for successful posting. This requirement is independent of the way the output is posted. This can be through the Output Journal, the Production Journal or Warehouse Receipts for Subcontracter Production.
The behavior is particularly problematic in the case of warehouse receipts from subcontracting production, since the processor of the warehouse receipts usually has no influence on the availability of the components.
The extension allows you to control the automatic consumption posting so that at least the stock of the component is automatically posted. The missing consumption is not lost but is stored in an extra record.
Based on these pending consumptions, production orders can only be completed once they have been processed: - Subsequent booking of the consumption - Reversal of pending consumption if the problem was solved otherwise
In the production order, the Pending Consumption field shows whether there are any open pending consumptions.
In the section Setup you can find information to activate pending consumption postings.
The sections - Consumption with insufficient stock - Posting of pending consumption - Cancel Pending Consumption
describe the implemented processes.
